Sgt’s Dog Death
The SUN 1st Oct: 2011 Page35
A Cop has been charged over the death of two police dogs who are alleged to have died in his unventilated car. Sergeant Ian Craven,50, is said to have left the animals in his vehicle at a training centre near Bromely, South London, in June as the temperature hit 29* C (84 F).
He will appear before local magistrates on October 12 accused of causing unnecessary suffering. Report Ends.
Pif: He attended court today the 12th October 2011 but knowing there was no real defense had resigned as a cop to save his pension and keep the payments made whilst on suspension, which I feel should be recovered, but his main reason was to stop a police inquiry. As always he like the rest in this position are driven by a greed not a creed.
He was not given a custodial sentence but allowed to stay free on his inflated police pension.
